Garden Art
Dan’s unique artisan style has become his trademark. Working by hand in pen and ink and watercolour, he captures every detail of your garden from an aerial view.
The Secret Spaces Art Process happens as three simple steps:
1
Consultation and Survey
During the consultation Dan skilfully guides you through a series of tried and tested questions to help you explore ideas, preferences and considerations for your bespoke artwork. To increase personalisation, if you wish, Dan can add secret symbols to depict favourite areas, objects, people, animals or life events that have happened in your garden.
Dan uses a variety of methods to understand the layout of your garden. He prefers to visit the site to measure up, experience the space and take aerial photographs. Alternatively, as Dan works internationally, he can work from photographs and information you send to him as well as satellite images should distance be prohibitive for a visit.
2
Draft Outline
Dan works up a draft outline of your artwork and asks you to check that you are happy with the layout before proceeding in pen and ink or watercolour.
3
Final Artwork
You receive your final piece, finished to your exacting requirements.
You can choose to have the final design in pen and ink or a full watercolour image.
You can choose from a range of mounts and frames to suit your home décor, or the artwork can be sent to you to complete the framing locally at your leisure.
